Introduction

-As technology grows, users can use it more simply and creatively at the same time. People are finding new ways to make technology more user-friendly as well as eye-pleasing.
-The World Wide Web was first used as a data and file transfer ability. The sites online were basically just text and weren't very user-friendly.
-Layouts came later when images and tables began making sites much more interesting to look at.
-Graphic designers came along and furthered the visual designs of websites. The visual presentation started to look really interesting and creative, however, they were still lacking in the usability department.
-At that time, websites paid so much attention to the look, that they only spent a little attention to content and ease of use. This meant unhappy customers.
-Eventually, designers started narrowing down on clarity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Users would then spend more time on the site and easily find the information they were looking for.
-Websites need to have quick downloading because people can become impatient when waiting for large files to download. This means cutting back on high quality images etc. which may even mean the site is more efficient for a happy customer.
-We need to understand "visual communication principles for content delivery, interpretation, and presentation" in order to produce an effective website.
-Also, technical concerns, like downloading time and accessibility are important factors. They are some items that users are looking for in a good website. Not to mention presentation along with emotion.
-Presentation is the look and appearance of the site. Interaction is the behavior of the site as the user uses it. Organization is the way the site is built; it's structure.
